Over the years, we’ve tried countless diets and healthy lifestyle changes, all with the hope of achieving one main goal: weight loss. Yet, despite our best efforts, none of these approaches seemed to deliver the lasting results we wanted. So, after much thought and research, we’ve officially embarked on a new adventure—the carnivore diet.
For those unfamiliar, the carnivore diet is exactly what it sounds like: a diet focused on eating animal-based foods while eliminating most plant-based foods. It’s a concept that’s both simple and unconventional, and we’re still learning the ins and outs of what we can and cannot eat. However, we’re optimistic that it might just be the reset our bodies need.
This decision didn’t come lightly. There was a time when we were long-distance daily cyclists, avid hikers, and even beginner runners. We thrived on an active, athletic lifestyle that kept us feeling strong and energized. But life has a way of shifting priorities. Over the past year, we decided to take a break from our rigorous routines and embrace a more relaxed pace. During this time, we explored local breweries across the United States, often pairing these outings with off-road jeep adventures. It was an incredible chapter filled with good food, great beer, and unforgettable memories.



However, as rewarding as this lifestyle has been, we’ve realized it’s time to slow it down a bit and refocus on our health. Our ultimate goal is to return to the active, athletic life we once loved—cycling daily, hitting the trails, and feeling strong and capable. But we also want to strike a balance. Life isn’t just about restrictions; it’s about finding a way to stay healthy while still enjoying an occasional outing or adventure.
The carnivore diet feels like the bold step we need to make this happen. By focusing on nutrient-dense, animal-based foods, we’re hoping to not only lose weight but also improve our overall health and energy levels. This diet is a significant change for us, and while we know the road ahead may come with challenges, we’re excited to see where it leads.
